Product protection with paper padding

Storopack introduces PAPERplus Dragonfly, a machine that fills cavities in parcels with paper padding with a particularly high volume.

Paper padding is used to ensure that products in large parcels are well protected. Storopack presents PAPERplus Dragonfly, a machine that fills cavities with a particularly high volume.

The machine is based on PAPERplus Papillon technology and is designed to fill cavities in shipping cartons quickly and efficiently. Thanks to three different speed levels, PAPERplus Dragonfly is designed for packing convenience and produces between 50 and 60 metres of extra-wide, crumpled paper pads per minute, which fix and secure the goods in the box. The machine is the only one on the protective packaging market with a variably adjustable crumple factor, with which the volume of the paper cushions can be adjusted as required. This means that the shipping goods in medium and large parcels weighing between five and ten kilograms are optimally protected.

„PAPERplus Dragonfly is unique, innovative and more efficient than other machines on the market. There is no other system that can achieve a comparable volume of paper padding. This allows our customers to optimally protect their shipping goods with less paper in the box.“

Like PAPERplus Papillon, Dragonfly is also safe to operate: no cutting system, but sophisticated gear wheels separate the paper cushions. Like the other PAPERplus machines, PAPERplus Dragonfly Easy to integrate into existing packing processes. The pads are made from two-ply, zigzag-folded paper, which is available in two thicknesses and two lengths, including on a large pallet for a continuous supply of material if larger quantities are required. PAPERplus Dragonfly has been available in Europe, the Middle East and Africa since May.
