PlastiVation Machinery GmbH will be exhibiting two injection moulding machines at Fakuma. The models of the Tederic NEO series will be shown in production operation for business card boxes and plastic cups.
„We are excited and optimistic about the Fakuma 2023, after we had our first ever trade fair appearance there two years ago in the start-up area. We see the fact that we are presenting two injection moulding machines from the Tederic ‚NEO series‘ this year as proof of the increasing market acceptance of injection moulding machines among plastics processors in Germany, Austria and Switzerland,“ says Bengt Schmidt, founder and CEO of Tederic. PlastiVation Machinery GmbH. Of the four series of the economically attractive and reliable Tederic ‚NEO series‘, PlastiVation will be presenting a high-performance electric NEO-E at the trade fair as part of a complete range. production cell and a cost-efficient hydraulic universal injection moulding machine NEO-T.
„The popularity of the Tederic ‚NEO series is growing, both for energy-efficient and technically sophisticated production solutions and for the large machines in the NEO-M and NEO-H series. We are feeling a tailwind as customers are repeatedly buying injection moulding machines, so that we are heading for a high double-digit number of machines on the market by the end of the year.“

„Two years ago, we introduced the Tederic ‚NEO series‘ to the market. Fakuma now marks the launch of the second generation of machines in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, all of which have been significantly higher clamping forces“, says Schmidt. The high-performance electric toggle injection moulding machines from the NEO-E series available with clamping forces of up to 1,400 tonnes (previously 1,088 t), the modern hydromechanical two-platen injection moulding machines of the NEO-H series up to 5,500 t (previously 4,500 t), the multi-component injection moulding machines of the NEO-M series up to 3,520 t (previously 1,920 t) and the cost-efficient hydraulic universal injection moulding machine NEO-T up to 1,050 t (previously 500 t).
A business card box made of polypropylene (PP) is produced on a high-performance NEO-E203/e620 electric toggle injection moulding machine with a clamping force of 230 tonnes and a screw diameter of 32 mm. The shot weight is around 40 grams and the cycle time for a 1+1 cavity is 25 seconds. The NEO-E230 is equipped with a KEBA machine control system and a 15-inch screen.
„The production of the business card box takes place in a automated production cell that fully complies with European safety standards (CE conformity) and is realised with high-performance partners,“ emphasises Strecker. The business card box weighs around 31 grams (case housing 19.5 grams, case fold-out compartment 12 grams). It is efficiently produced in a 1 +1 mould by partners CAVITY EYE Deutschland GmbH, Incoe International Europe and Wirth Werkzeugbau GmbH.
The cost-efficient NEO-T90/i380 hydraulic toggle injection moulding machine produces a plastic cup made of polystyrene with a clamping force of 90 tonnes and a screw diameter of 38 mm. The part weight of the cup is 37 grams and the minimum cycle time is 40 seconds.
