Procraft, a supplier of bicycle components, relies on plastic-free packaging from Keim Packaging for its products. The collaboration marks the company's first overall project with its k-fix carton binder.
Procraft is breaking new ground and focussing on complete Plastic-free packaging. At the Eurobike Show, Procraft presents itself with new sustainable packaging from Keim Packaging. For the first time, the patent-pending k-fix cardboard binder is being used in a variety of ways in a complete range. Procraft uses both the loose and the integrated cardboard binder.
In the structural design, care was taken to ensure that as many products as possible fit into one pack. This means that the packaging is not only sustainable, but also economical. The Individual customisability of the length of k-fix makes this possible. The great advantage of k-fix is that the Products openly packaged can be used. This not only saves on materials, but also ensures that customers can touch the products and inspect them in detail. The new packaging design is being introduced in stages. It will start with the bike tools, bike stands and pedals categories. These products are currently mainly packaged by competitors using plastic cable ties.
„We are extremely pleased that Procraft has the courage to do without plastic in all its packaging and is using our sustainable cardboard binder k-fix. The company is setting an example for the entire bike market.“
