Public voting for the European Carton Excellence Award and the Pro Carton Young Designers and Student Video Awards is now open. Consumers, industry experts and university representatives are invited to vote for their favourites and thus select the most innovative cartonboard packaging of the year.

On 19 July 2024, the public vote was held for the European Carton Excellence Award and for the Pro Carton Young Designers Award and the Pro Carton Student Video Award. The European Carton Excellence Awards are organised by Per Carton, the European Association of Cartonboard and Folding Carton Manufacturers, and the European Carton Makers Association (ECMA). This annual award invites Partners from the entire supply chain to submit their most creative packaging concepts. The Pro Carton Young Designers Award and the Pro Carton Student Video Award, which are a record-breaking number of competition entries offer young talents in packaging design and marketing a platform to enter the industry.

The winners will be announced on 19 September at the official awards gala in Berlin, which takes place as part of the annual ECMA Congress. A Jury of industry experts has selected the finalists for the Pro Carton Awards.

„This year we received a record number of entries for the awards. The impressive creativity and tenacious commitment to sustainability demonstrated by the finalists with their entries for the European Carton Excellence Award and the Pro Carton Student competitions show the transformative power of cartonboard packaging. Given the exceptional quality of the entries for the Pro Carton Young Designers Award and the Pro Carton Student Video Award, we are confident that our industry has a bright future ahead. We call on the public to join us in recognising these achievements and help us select the most innovative and inspiring designs that will help shape the future of cartonboard.“
