The dimensionally stable die-cutting tool duramar|performance from Marbach is now also available in an aluminium version. duramar|alu offers technical advantages due to its reduced weight.
In the production of packaging, wood is generally used as the carrier board material for standard requirements. For higher requirements for Durability and precision when punching there are dimensionally stable carrier boards. These are designed to remain dimensionally stable even under hygroscopic influences and strong climatic fluctuations thanks to the choice of material and their structure. Marbach previously had the duramar|performance core board in its programme for this purpose. The company is now focussing on duramar|alu.
duramar|alu is a tool whose Support plate glass fibre reinforced plastic combined with aluminium sheets is used. This not only ensures high dimensional stability - even in changing climatic conditions - but also less weight.
„Our new duramar|alu tool has outstanding technical properties and is over 30 per cent lighter than its steel predecessor thanks to its lightweight design. The reduced weight of the duramar|alu tool simplifies handling during the set-up process, during in-house transport and when storing the tools. It also reduces the workload for machine operators in their daily work. But that's not all: transport costs are also saved thanks to the low weight.“
