Quadpack has produced a mono-material lid made of FSC-certified ash wood for the limited anniversary edition of the men's fragrance Habit Rouge.
To mark its 60th anniversary, Guerlain's famous fragrance has now been reinterpreted in a limited edition: Habit Rouge Spirit. For the packaging, Quadpack uses a patented system that replaces plastic with wood: Woodacity Hidden is Quadpack's Wooden clasp for the luxury market.
For an elegantly minimalist look the inner profile is hidden behind the inner ring of the two-part cover. A biodegradable water-based adhesive is used to hold the two components together sustainably and seamlessly.
The wood comes from sustainably managed forests and is processed in a low-emission production facility. The red lacquering with engraved double G picks up on the appearance of the fragrance, which refined in oak barrels and thus acquires an additional woody depth.

For Guerlain, the choice of Woodacity Hidden was an obvious one. As part of its gradual switch from virgin plastics of fossil origin to recycled or bio-based raw materials The long-standing Quadpack customer had already integrated wood into the packaging of various cosmetic products.
