Raja presents a new product innovation for load securing with an ultra-thin, transparent, pre-stretched hand stretch film.

Stretch films are indispensable in various industries for securing loads on pallets. Worldwide, the annual consumption of films for protecting pallets amounts to seven million tonnes. At 80 per cent of consumption, stretch film accounts for the absolute lion's share. In view of the essential use of stretch film in various industries, it is important to pursue innovative approaches, to optimise both load securing and ecological aspects. This is where the ultra-thin handStretch film from Raja with a minimum thickness of 3.8 micrometres. Not only does it offer optimum performance, but its environmentally friendly production also helps to reduce plastic consumption and waste.

The choice of the right stretch film depends on various factors, including the size, weight of the pallets, type of goods and transport conditions. Pre-stretched stretch film, for example guarantee a high degree of elasticity and maximum elongation of up to 250 per cent. increased clamping force and therefore increased pallet stability. This approach not only leads to a more efficient use of materials, but also enables time savings of around 20 per cent during transport securing.

It's not just the type of film that matters, but also its thickness - and this is where the ultra-thin stretch film sets new standards. Despite its low thickness of 3.8 µm, it impresses with a clamping force that is comparable to conventional films, as well as in their ability to reliably stabilise homogeneous loads of up to 220 kg. Reinforced edges facing upwards limit tearing when removing the film and at the same time increase resistance.

With a Length of 1,000 metres per roll this innovative film significantly minimises interruptions for reel changes, optimises packaging processes and saves valuable time. The constant width also requires fewer layers to wrap the pallets, which also reduces material and costs.

The ultra-thin film is characterised not only by its rigidity, but also by its lightness, which enables effortless stretching. This leads to a reduction in user fatigue. The film runs silently and also improves working conditions in the warehouse by reducing noise. Specially developed for lightweight, homogeneous pallets, it offers an optimum solution for companies with special and sustainable packaging requirements.
