Rattpack expands its pharmaceutical competence centre in Wolfurt and further develops the Apolda site. This is in response to the increasing demands of the pharmaceutical industry.

The increasing demands of the pharmaceutical industry require flexible and efficient packaging solutions. Rattpack is responding to this with the expansion of its pharmaceutical competence centre in Wolfurt/Vorarlberg, which is already two-thirds complete. The focus is on modern printing technologies that make it possible to produce short and medium runs in up to seven colours. The services offered include hot foil printing and varnish finishing, which fulfil the high quality requirements of the industry.

Expansion of the Apolda site

Parallel to the expansion in Wolfurt, Rattpack is continuing to develop its site in Apolda, Thuringia. In the first quarter of the year, an additional company site of around 10,000 square metres was acquired, which is to be used as a logistics centre in future. This expansion creates additional capacity for storage and goods flows, which relieves the pressure on the production area at the existing plant and provides space for further expansion of production.

Rattpack had already invested in the automation and modernisation of the plant in Apolda in 2023. The site specialises in packaging for the food sector and complements the company's production portfolio.
