Plastics Europe Germany Supports active the development of a national strategy for a circular economy for plastics. Following the start of work on a key issues paper, recommendations for action on the concept of a circular economyPLUS have now been published.
Plastics producers are determined to continue the transformation to a circular economy despite acurrent challenges. The key technologies that are needed become, at the carbon cycle complete are already in place. In the coming years, the aim must be to scale these quickly and Technologies as well asbusinesssmodels for a climate-neutral circular economy.
Plastics Europe Germany wants to actively drive this change forward - about the Provision of expertise for the development of the „Nationaln Circular economy strategy" (NKRWS) of the Federal Government. This should existing and future Regulations and strategies for strengthening the Circular economy in Germany. By the end of this year intends tos Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety and Consumer protection (BMUV), to submit a key issues paper for the NKRWS. In the Spring 2023 The aim is to involve a broad range of stakeholders.
With the start of the development of the key issues paper published Plastics Europe Germany now the information provided by this Expert group developed recommendations for action to the concept of a Circular economyPLUS. The addition „PLUS“ goes to the Necessity back, to think holistically about the circular economy.
