Gualapack brings in Collaboration with the baby food producer Jufico a fully recyclable squeeze bag onto the German market.

The German infant formula manufacturer Jufico will be the first to Organic brand FruchtBar in fully recyclable squeeze pouches made from polypropylene mono-material without aluminium onto the German market. Pouch5 was developed by Gualapack, the global market leader in pre-made pouches, and is the first pre-made squeeze pouch available in recyclable uniform material with a high barrier. The five new varieties will be available in stores from 25 May.

Gualapacks Pouch5 is available in two versions: for hot-filled and pasteurised products with a long shelf life, and for cold filling such as milk and yoghurt products. Thanks to its high oxygen and water vapour barrier, Pouch5 guarantees product protection equivalent to that of conventional pouches.

The new squeeze bag has been certified by Interseroh Dienstleistungs-GmbH for its recyclability, and the environmental service provider's criteria for testing a wide range of packaging were developed together with the bifa umwelt and Fraunhofer IVV institutes. With a rating of 20 out of 20 Pouch5 achieves the best possible rating and is demonstrably „highly“ recyclable.
