The circular economy service provider Interzero and the packaging company Coveris have announced a strategic partnership with the aim of further closing plastic loops.
In future, the materials collected and sorted by Interzero will be in the Coveris ReCover systems processed into high-quality recyclates by means of mechanical recycling. These granulates are then used in Coveris' high-performance packaging, such as Duralite R shrink films.
„The forward-looking partnership with Interzero fits perfectly with our ‚No Waste‘ vision. By integrating well-sorted post-consumer waste into our recycling processes, we are taking an important step towards closing the loop completely.“
Christian Kolarik, CEO of Coveris.
The cooperation between Coveris and Interzero brings Advantages for the entire value chain. Among other things, it also helps to achieve important sustainability goals such as reducing the carbon footprint, avoiding waste, securing raw materials and complying with packaging and waste regulations.
„We are delighted to be able to use our expertise in waste collection and sorting to produce high-quality recyclates together with Coveris. Our common goal is to make a significant contribution to waste avoidance and thus to the circular economy. We all benefit from this project. We are shaping the circular economy of tomorrow - for a world without waste.“
Jan Kroker, CEO of Interzero
