Refill by Respray Kft Respray is a Hungarian start-up. The company has developed a machine with which deodorants can be refilled up to five times with the original deodorant.
The aluminium deodorant cans are filled with compressed air instead of LPG propellant gas. Respray has invented a machine that can hold up to 3 types of product and the customer can simply refill their deodorant at the point of sale.
Tubex supplies Respray with an aluminium can with patented Neucan 3.1 alloy with genuine PCR content and decorated with natural printing ink.
The convincing factors in this submission were The overall concept and the clear focus on sustainability in several aspects.
On the one hand, the innovation offers a refill system for spray cans of deodorant that allows the can to be reused around 5 times, which reduces waste and at the same time contributes to brand loyalty. The packaging and functional system are also sustainable.
The spray can itself is made from 100 percent recycled material, with 50 percent of the aluminium coming from the Yellow Bag. The inner coating is BPA-free and thus already fulfils future regulations and customer requirements.
However, it is also groundbreaking that the sustainability concept also includes the propellant, which is not a propane/butane mixture as usual, but uses compressed air, which also reduces greenhouse gas emissions in the application.
All in all, a well-rounded, sustainable overall concept.
