Bag-in-box packaging was previously known as a solution for foodstuffs such as juices and wine. Vema is now using stand-up pouches and bag-in-boxes for cosmetics and household products such as cleaning products. The refill packaging is characterised by its ease of use for consumers and also protects the environment.

Vema is positioning itself as the first supplier in the cosmetics and household sector with this special refill concept and integrated dispensing system.

„We have set ourselves the goal of revolutionising the way liquid cosmetics and household products are used and consumed. Refill cosmetics is not just a buzzword, but a megatrend - We rely on refill packs combined with an airtight tap.“

Easy to use and sustainable

The new packaging, such as bag-in-box or stand-up pouches, drastically reduces waste and they ensure significantly lower CO2-footprint, compared to bottles or canisters. The recycling possibilities are great, as Bag-in-Box consists of 75 per cent cardboard and only 25 per cent plastic.

However, it is not only the environment that benefits from sustainable packaging solutions, but also users. The Products inside have a long shelf life and are hygienically sealed, as the airtight tap prevents contamination and germ formation. Handling is easy and the liquid can be „tapped“ with one hand.

Extended area of application for bag-in-box and refill pouches

In the cosmetics sector, liquids and lotions such as shower gel, body lotion, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, etc. are particularly suitable for filling in refill packs. Household products such as cleaning agents, low-viscosity concentrates or surface disinfectants can also be filled in bag-in-box or stand-up pouches.

The Refill packaging can be used in massage and fitness studios, wellness areas and hotels, hospitals and nursing and retirement homes as well as by hairdressers, podiatrists and in pharmacies. They are suitable for use in the cabinet. They are also intended for utility rooms as well as multi-family and multi-generational homes.

In the industrial and trade sectors, the refill packs offer a Sensible and practical alternative to many disposable packagings.
