Schreiner MediPharm has developed a new RFID label with a digital first-opening indicator. It is used for labelling and at the same time enables the unique digital identification of each individual medication container.
In the hectic day-to-day running of a hospital, it must be ensured that the integrity of the prefilled syringe or vial is intact before the medication is administered. This is where the innovative RFID label with integrated digital sealing function comes in.
Thanks to its special design it irreversibly indicates the initial opening of the vessel and enables automated integrity tracking. It is therefore no longer necessary to manually check whether the container has already been opened.
The new solution also has a special label construction, which reliably protects the integrated chip from mechanical stresses and impacts in pharmaceutical production and on high-speed dispensing systems.
