Robatech and ABB are pooling their expertise in automated adhesive application.
With a new integration kit, two- and three-dimensional adhesive application can now also be realised with ABB's GoFa cobots. The solution combines Robatech's application system with ABB's collaborative robots and is designed to enable precise, reproducible gluing processes.
The combination of adhesive application system and robot enables complex components to be bonded automatically and with high precision. The integration kit makes it easy to mount the heated hose and application head on the robot arm. It also contains interface software for communication between the application system and the robot. The RobaVis user interface is displayed via the ABB touch panel. Thanks to manual guidance on the cobot arm and intuitive graphical apps, the adhesive application can be saved even without programming knowledge, according to the company.
Compatible with three GoFa variants
The new integration kit is compatible with the GoFa 5, GoFa 10 and GoFa 12 robot models. Robatech is thus expanding its cooperation with ABB with a practical solution that facilitates the use of adhesive application systems in automated production environments.
