Rossmann's new e-commerce warehouse in Großburgwedel near Hanover is now using plastic-free packaging solutions from the Lower Saxony-based company Papair.

The plastic-free packaging - pre-assembled sheets („PapairSheets“) and padded bags („PapairBags“) - are now an integral part of regular operations. Every day around 9,000 products from the Rossmann range shipped throughout Germany and to Denmark. The new system not only reduces the use of plastic, but also significantly increases the efficiency of the processes.

Plastic-free and process-optimised

Rossmann's aim was to design its shipping packaging to be completely plastic-free. without compromising on safety or handling. Together with Papair, customised solutions were developed that fit seamlessly into the picking process. Thanks to the prefabricated sheets and bags the packaging process can now be carried out faster and more cost-efficiently.
