Dirk Rossmann GmbH has presented its latest sustainability report.
With the Sustainability Report 2025, Rossmann comprehensively documents its own progress in the areas of environmental, social and corporate responsibility. The company, which achieved sales of 15.3 billion euros last year, emphasises the relevance of responsible action for future generations.
The recycling rate for private label packaging is particularly emphasised: This stands at 41 per cent for plastics and 45 per cent across all material types - the target originally set for 2025 has therefore already been achieved, according to the report. At the same time, according to the report 67 per cent of private label packaging by weight over 95 per cent recyclable.
Packaging, supply chain, microplastics: concrete measures
Rossmann is increasingly focusing on recyclates - for example with the eco Freude brand, where bottles are made from 100 per cent recycled plastic. These products alone saved around 72 tonnes of new plastic in 2024. One of the company's goals is also to reduce the Use of monomaterials in order to further improve recyclability.
Rossmann is also pursuing a clear course when it comes to microplastics: over 1,500 formulas are now free from microplastics, and a specially developed seal helps consumers to choose products. In the non-food area, the company has also switched to sustainably certified raw materials - for example, organic cotton, FSC-certified paper and GRS-tested recycled fibres.
