Premium quality that impresses: Founded by the Sander-Beuermann family back in 1958, SABEU is now recognised as a leading system supplier of microporous filter membranes and plastic components for the packaging, life sciences, medical and other industries. The company is the only manufacturer in the world to offer plastic components as well as membranes and their respective assembly.
Thanks to decades of market and application experience, the company's Own brand FLUXX® a quality product series in the Packaging division. Sabeu is pursuing very ambitious goals, particularly in the development of this division, which comprises the deaerating, dosing and capping product segments. Pouring taps, degassing solutions (inserts, closures and membranes) and canister closures are product groups in the broad-based portfolio with the qualitative "X-tra" and offer a variety of unique selling points.
Venting - Dosing - Sealing
All production processes, including in-house toolmaking, take place at two locations "Made in Germany". In addition to the standard portfolio, OEM projects and customised services are also realised. The products from the premium FLUXX® range impress with the highest quality standards and an excellent price-performance ratio. Great importance is also attached to international conformity for applications in the food sector.

A quality management system certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2015, DIN EN ISO 13485:2016 and DIN EN ISO 50001:2018 promotes maximum product safety, continuous improvement and sustainability for the benefit of users. The topic of Sustainability is viewed from a very special perspective: "Our demand for the highest quality is based not least on the fact that we want to support the user by providing the greatest possible product safety to protect against environmental hazards," emphasises Kevin Eckert, Sales Manager Packaging at the company.

Optimum venting
FLUXX® degassing inserts are used with water- and oil-repellent membranes which ensure that gaseous substances can escape, preventing a build-up or drop in pressure in a wide variety of containers. In addition, the company's degassing inserts are set up appropriately: The membranes are not wetted by liquids and therefore remain Permanently breathableso that the container remains in its original shape.

The degassing solutions are designed both as individual degassing inserts for integration into users' existing closures or as ready-to-use degassing closures with the insert already welded into the closure. Last year alone, three new variants were developed for special applications: F38 LOCK SN, F38 HP and F17 HF. SN (Short Neck) stands for a shortened neck with LOCK system, which offers a more stable hold in the manufacturers' standardised closures. The F38 HP (High Pressure) can withstand the highest pressure and at the same time enables excellent venting. The F17 HF (High Flow) achieves a significantly higher air flow rate.

"A small, seemingly simple and yet so important detail gives our degassing applications an important competitive advantage: The Patented draining bevel is a truly unique selling point and ensures that the membrane remains permanently gas-permeable. In addition, our degassing inserts can be used in the food sector," emphasises Kevin Eckert out.
Unique dosing The FLUXX® own-brand pouring taps have been making it easier for users to fill and decant liquids in a wide range of applications for decades. This product segment combines maximum tightness and functionality. A broad product programme has been developed over the years. The pouring taps are suitable for All common thread sizes of different containers such as bottles, canisters, drums and IBCs in accordance with DIN 38 to 71 as well as plastic and steel drums with a ¾" or 2" thread. The various product sizes are available in two versions: with an outlet pipe diameter of 13 and 23 millimetres.

Pouring taps with a 23-millimetre spout allow large quantities of liquid to be poured and transferred in a very short time. This series impresses with an average flow rate of more than five litres per minute. Pouring taps with a 13-millimetre spout are primarily suitable for precise dosing processes, especially into narrow threaded necks.
The FLUXX® pouring taps come with in a wide range of industries but mainly for applications involving liquid foodstuffs, hygiene and care products, cleaning agents, agrochemicals and industrial hazardous substances. Thanks to their unique dual-chamber venting system and draining slope, these products enable a Fast and clean dosing without "gurgling" or "dripping". The smooth-running lever, which guarantees easy handling, is also popular. In addition to chemical resistance to a wide range of aggressive chemicals, this product segment is also suitable for use in the food sector.
Reliable sealing
All products ultimately serve the purpose of closing containers securely. High-quality materials are a prerequisite for this. Pouring taps must have a High tightness when closed, but also guarantee high flow rates when open.

Degassing inserts in customer closures must ensure that liquids cannot escape from the container, but at the same time ensure air exchange for continuous pressure equalisation. Degassing closures are Ready-to-use solutions as a combination of a degassing solution and a canister closure. Furthermore, various closure variants in the standard sizes DIN 45, 50, 51 and 61 complete the portfolio, which are also available with venting and sealing functions.
Trends and visions - Interview with Kevin Eckert
Mr Eckert, in the last twelve months alone, three new fully automated systems for the assembly of degassing inserts have been put into operation in order to increase production capacity. to expand. What does this mean for the company? Kevin Eckert: Due to the enormous development in the Packaging division in recent years, we have Extensive capacities added has been expanded. To this end, additional fully automated systems were integrated and the sales team was expanded. Thanks to the new systems for degassing inserts, the production and control processes have been further optimised. This strategy will be maintained in the future in order to meet the increasing demand.

What has happened in recent months and what can the market expect? Kevin Eckert: With regard to our portfolio, we recently presented various new products - in particular a pouring tap with a DIN 63 thread and degassing inserts with increased requirements for air throughput and pressure development in the container. Further Product innovations are already being planned. Additional measures for 2021 include the integration of three more systems for degassing inserts and closures as well as the design optimisation of our pouring taps. We are also increasingly focussing on topics relating to Sustainability.
Your company is also increasingly focussing on international markets. What are you planning? Kevin Eckert: We are positioning ourselves for successful sales in all international markets. To this end, we are integrating human resources, but also expanding our compliance with specific market requirements - especially for food applications. We will also be stepping up our presence at trade fairs - virtually as part of the new challenges. We are therefore already planning the Participation in FachPack 2021.
