Sustainable high-tech for food packaging

Sacmi will be showcasing high-performance food packaging machines at Fachpack 2025 - with a focus on sustainability and paper-based materials.

At Fachpack, Sacmi Packaging & Chocolate will be presenting innovative packaging solutions that combine high performance with sustainability. New flow-wrapping machines and a compact carton erector for environmentally friendly packaging in the food industry will be on show.

Sacmi will be presenting modern technologies for primary and secondary packaging at the trade fair. The focus will be on high-performance horizontal and vertical Flow-wrapping machines that can also process paper-based films, as well as a newly developed carton erector for fruit and vegetable packaging.

The horizontal flow-wrapping machine JT-Advance is particularly suitable for confectionery such as bars, snacks or chocolates thanks to its extensive configurability. It achieves up to 150 metres of film output per minute and impresses with its low operating costs, simple maintenance and fast changeover times. According to the manufacturer, the fully electronic machine also scores highly in terms of sustainability: its ability to process paper films will be demonstrated at the trade fair standsacmi specialised pack.

The VPS 40C vertical packaging solution enables the production of different bag variants at 120 cycles per minute - including stand-up pouches with clip or seal closure. According to the manufacturer, the robust, low-maintenance design offers advantages in terms of operation, material changes and sustainability. Thanks to innovative sealing technology, paper-based materials can also be processed efficiently. At the trade fair, Sacmi will also be demonstrating the combination with a multihead weigher for automated processes.

Display

For secondary packaging, the company is presenting the new TF12 Small case erector. The machine processes up to 40 trays per minute and is particularly suitable for tight spaces. It manufactures various tray formats, including the widely used Citrus format, and allows quick product changes. Standardised components simplify maintenance and spare parts management.

Sacmi Packaging & Chocolate is a business unit of the Sacmi Group founded in 2018 and based in Imola. Under the Carle & Montanari and OPM brands, the company covers the entire process chain from chocolate production to final packaging.
