Sacmi packs sweets sustainably

At Fachpack, Sacmi will be presenting machines for packaging confectionery and baked goods that can also process environmentally friendly films. 

Sacmi Packaging & Chocolate is presenting new solutions for efficient and sustainable packaging of confectionery and baked goods at Fachpack. These include a multi-style chocolate wrapping machine and a fully automatic flow-wrapping machine, both of which are also suitable for processing environmentally friendly films. 

The new HY7 multi-style chocolate wrapping machine under the Carle & Montanari brand masters the current Challenges with regard to flexible formats. The model in top twist configuration packs up to 500 chocolates per minute. Side or double twist as well as bundle, envelope or single wrapping are also possible. With high efficiency vthe wrapping machine even processes delicate or irregularly shaped products.

The individual, servo-driven parts of the folding unit can not only be flexibly adapted to the shape of the praline, but also to the properties of the wrapping film, so that the latest generation of environmentally friendly films can also be processed. The HY7 is the first wrapping machine with hybrid technology and utilises not only mechanical, but also powerful and energy-efficient servo drives. A modular design allows customised configuration for the application and simple upgrades if requirements change.

Sacmi presents the top model of the new horizontal flow-wrapping machine series JT ADVANCE. The fully electronic and servo-controlled machine is produced and marketed under the OPM brand. Your Configurability makes the series an ideal solution for products such as chocolate and muesli bars, snacks and chocolates that require a require a high output of up to 150 metres of film per minute. Low operating costs, minimal operating effort and simplified maintenance are combined with shorter changeover times.

The Film rolls can be changed during ongoing production without reducing the machine speed. The optimised hygienic design as well as special plates and protective devices allow product deposits and crumbs to be removed quickly. Users can use the JT ADVANCE to produce flat pouches, gusseted pouches, pouches with offset sealing, pouches with tear strip and on-edge packaging. The following can be processed Hot or cold sealable materials such as polypropylene, barrier films, laminates and polyethylene as well as environmentally friendly paper-based films.

The new TF80 L high-performance carton erector achieves an output of up to 140 pieces per minute and can be used for a wide range of applications in industry and logistics. With the double forming head and the double handling of chain and forming press with brushless motor, the Machine flexibly configurable. Users benefit from fast format changeovers and very good adaptation to cartons of different shapes and sizes. The automatic magazine with vertical positioning stores up to 1,500 carton blanks. Another advantage of the TF80 L is its compact dimensions.
