The company has developed a new labelling concept for auto-injectors that offers special functionality: It combines first-opening protection with an anti-recapping function and dust protection. The label encloses the autoinjector including the cap and thus serves as reliable protection against dust or dirt before it is opened for the first time. The perforation integrated into the label serves to clear proof of initial opening. The label is positioned in such a way that once the cap has been opened, it cannot be closed unnoticed for unauthorised reuse.

Additional features are also included: a hologram as an anti-counterfeiting feature, viewing windows equipped with UV-repellent lacquer to protect light-sensitive active ingredients, a temperature indicator to display the room temperature and an anti-slip lacquer for better grip and safe handling. Integrated into the label NFC chip also enables a wide range of interactive applications to provide patients with optimum support. With the help of a smartphone, additional product information, demo videos or special apps can be read out and mobile product authentication can be carried out.
