For seven days, the packaging world was dominated by interpack in Düsseldorf. Gerhard Schubert GmbH was also represented at the trade fair - and is now drawing a positive balance.
Martin Sauter, Sales Manager at Gerhard Schubert GmbH, reports: „It was very positive for us that, despite the lower overall visitor numbers, we were able to increase the number of leads, i.e. prospective customers who are very specifically interested in our solutions, increased by 25 per cent compared to 2017. In addition to new contacts, we also welcomed many existing customers to our stand. And even competitors had words of praise for our innovative machines.“
It is not easy for Schubert to say which of the exhibits on show has aroused the most interest. The Flowpacker received a lot of positive feedback because it is very flexible when it comes to processing different materials. According to the company, the TLM 7 machine, the first public presentation of a concept study for Schubert's new generation of machines, also proved to be a real crowd-puller, as did the Comfort Feeder, which revolutionises material feeding.
Credit for success goes to the entire team
The new Dotlock technology, with which Schubert will take a further step towards sustainability in the future, also aroused great interest. This innovation makes it possible to join cardboard packaging firmly and with extremely high tensile strength without having to use hot glue. Martin Sauter: „In principle, all of our exhibits were described as highlights by the visitors. And thanks to the wide variety of our machines and services, such as our new Packaging Perspectives programme for sustainable packaging, many visitors saw Schubert as a solution provider for their tasks for the first time. We are naturally very pleased about that.“
The Crailsheim-based packaging specialist was able to draw an extremely positive conclusion from the trade fair thanks to the large number of visitors to all exhibits and guided tours, great interest in all Schubert topics and many visitors to its stand. The entire team deserves credit for this success. Ralf Schubert, Managing Partner of Gerhard Schubert GmbH: „There was intensive preparation in the run-up to the trade fair and many of our employees were also working flat out during interpack. I am sure that our successful trade fair appearance at interpack is primarily due to this joint effort and the well-coordinated team."
