At ProSweets 2019, Schubert will be presenting a lightline flowpacker equipped with the latest heat-sealing technology, which packs heat-sensitive products such as chocolate gently and with high output.
The Flowpacker is part of the new lightline machine programme with which Schubert is offering its customers three Preconfigured machine types for standard packaging tasks at attractive investment costs. Schubert Packaging Systems will also be presenting its comprehensive portfolio of engineering services.
Packaged ready to enjoy
Whether chocolate, chocolate bars or confectionery wafers - many of these confectionery products are packaged ready to eat in flow packs. The lightline consists of the Flowmodul flow-wrapping unit and a picker line, which packs unpackaged products or products placed in trays. Packed efficiently and gently in tubular bags. The Flowmodul is compatible with all common heat-seal and cold-seal films and offers maximum flexibility in product composition. This means that even fragile crackers or biscuits can be stacked and packed in tubular bags in every conceivable variation using robot technology.
The new patented heat-sealing technology for Heat-sensitive products is characterised by very low heat generation and a constant sealing time with variable chain speed. This means that, for the first time, the control range of a heat-sealing film can be controlled between five and 60 metres without any loss of quality for the film or the product. Hermetically sealed packs are also possible with this technology.

On the ProSweets, a biscuit with white chocolate and one with brown chocolate are packed together in a flow-wrapper. The machine achieves an output of 250 products or 125 flowpacks per minute and has a 3D vision system that ensures that only flawless products enter the flow module's infeed chain.
Customisable machine, future-proof investment
Whether filigree pralines, soft cakes or chocolate bars - the Crailsheim-based family business develops customised robot moulds for all products, which can be adapted to new requirements such as new product or packaging formats thanks to the modular design of the TLM technology. Simple and cost-efficient retrofitting can be used. If the product or format changes, only the robot tools are adapted or replaced. When developing and manufacturing these tools, Schubert draws on its many years of expertise in the design and functionality of grippers and suction cups.
