The new Schütz Polska Sp. z o.o. site was officially opened on 2 June and the commissioning was duly celebrated with a festive programme. Production at Schütz Ecobulk started at the beginning of December 2016 and the IBC reconditioning system was installed in May 2017.

The new branch in Zory, around 35 kilometres south of Katowice, was built according to the latest production technology standards and equipped with State-of-the-art production facilities equipped. It stands for maximum efficiency, flexibility and reliability. The invited customers and Polish and international journalists were able to see this for themselves during a factory tour.

Gateway to Central-Eastern Europe strengthens global network

The new location supplements the global retrieval and reconditioning network with a further hub for the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. Zory is one of the most important Industrial sites in the Greater Region. The city in Upper Silesia is close to the borders with the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Austria, Hungary, Romania, Ukraine and Russia are also within easy reach thanks to the optimised infrastructure. The plant, built specifically as a gateway to Central and Eastern Europe, now enables even faster collections and more flexible services thanks to shorter distances. The opening of the plant also contributes to sustainability: After all, short distances always mean fewer emissions.
