Securikett wants to make packaging safer and more sustainable with new technologies for tamper protection, recyclability and digital traceability. At Fachpack 2025, the focus will be on labels for the digital product passport and innovative adhesive solutions.
The new Structure Coating technology allows adhesives to be applied in a targeted manner in terms of shape and thickness for the first time. This results in labels with special functions - such as resealable lid stickers for plastic packaging that make tampering attempts visible thanks to VOID effects. According to the company, the process is cheaper than conventional welding and should enable new applications in packaging design.
Labels for circular economy and PPWR
The forthcoming EU packaging regulation (PPWR) requires more recyclability and reusability. Securikett develops labels that support recyclable materials or make packaging reusable. Residue-free VOID labels help to ensure that containers can be reused without adhesive residue. In addition digital product information via QR code to offer customers more transparency and reduce material usage.
Digital product passport and traceability
A key topic for the future is the Digital Product Passport (DPP), which is to be gradually introduced from 2027. Securikett offers tamper-proof labels with unique QR codes for this purpose, coupled with the cloud-based platform Codikett. This means that products can be clearly identified throughout their entire life cycle and labelled with additional information - an advantage for traceability, product safety and consumer protection.
