Baumer will be showcasing innovative sensor solutions for industrial automation at SPS 2024 in Nuremberg. The focus will be on ultrasonic sensors with NexSonic technology, heavy-duty encoders and future-proof encoders for functional safety.

Baumer shows on the PLC 2024 in Nuremberg will showcase its latest developments for industrial automation. This year's innovations include Ultrasonic sensors with NexSonic technology, rotary encoders for demanding applications and new process sensors that meet current industry requirements.

Highlights include the ultrasonic sensor with NexSonic technology, which Response times of only 10 ms and has a minimum blind area of 10 mm. The adjustable sound beam allows the sensor to be optimally adapted to different applications.

For drive control, the company is presenting the EB260 bearingless rotary encoder, which can control the Precision of optical scanning combined with the robustness of magnetic systems. Baumer LowHarmonics signal conditioning ensures stable signals and high control accuracy through auto-calibration, which opens up new application possibilities in drive technology.

The new HeavyDuty encoder series HOG800, based on the Hübner-Berlin brand, sets a new standard. Extended protection against incorrect wiring and mechanical loads around. This generation enables intelligent parameterisation, which can be configured via the Baumer Sensor Suite.

With the EAM580RS absolute encoder, Baumer also offers a safety-certified encoder that already fulfils the upcoming requirements of IEC 61800-5-3:202 for functional safety. The TÜV-certified model is designed to reduce the effort required for documentation and integration.

In addition, the company is presenting the compact 50 series, which is equipped with a standardised Operating concept and display for pressure, temperature and conductivity measurement is equipped. IO-Link integration also plays a central role at the Baumer stand, where visitors can test the sensors themselves in a sensor workshop.
