The Canadian ice cream manufacturer Coppa Inc. has automated the inspection processes of its metal detection systems with the „Audit Check“ function from Sesotec. The aim is to increase food safety, improve traceability and minimise manual sources of error.
With the introduction of „Audit Check“, Coppa is responding to increasing production pressure and growing product safety requirements. Previously, checks were carried out hourly by the operating personnel and documented manually. The automated solution now enables standardised test cycles, logs deviations and provides staff with visual instructions for carrying out the tests.
The system is integrated into Sesotec's Intuity metal detectors and was customised to Coppa's operational requirements in close cooperation with the manufacturer. Through Automatic reminders for inspection intervals and centralised data acquisition in the control interface demonstrably facilitate compliance with quality specifications.
Coppa Inc. sees the changeover as a clear advantage for audits and emphasises the reliability of the new solution during operation. The detailed reporting and intuitive user interface help to ensure constant safety and quality, even during high production volumes.
