A new event will take place at the Munich Literaturhaus on 10 September. The TrueColors Conference is aimed at the packaging industry and focuses on colour management and proofing solutions. The organisers want to promote an exchange between all those involved along the production chain.

„It's high time to bring all the players together,“ says Robert Weihing, owner of the Tübingen-based company. Weihing knows the most important trade fairs, forums and congresses. And he has long missed an event format that does not focus exclusively on technical issues.

„With the TrueColors Conference, we are breaking new ground: We need a platform that not only informs, but also inspires and whets the appetite for the future. ‚Unboxing tomorrow‘ is the motto of the kick-off conference, which will take place on 10 September in Munich.“

GMG is a specialised software company that specialises in Colour management and proofing solutions usually aimed at prepress professionals. But for owner Robert Weihing, the days of silo thinking are long gone. He is certain: „Our industry needs a different, much more Broader and deeper exchange with all parties involved in the process. We want to bring brand, creation and production together with the TrueColors Conference.“

With the printed TrueColors magazine, GMG has been publishing a lavishly designed title for some time now that focuses on the topic of Colour management as part of the big picture makes it tangible. On over 50 pages, readers regularly learn how international brands operate and understand their own role. Packaging and branding are topics that are closely linked to the success of these companies. TrueColors magazine shows that service providers in the graphic arts industry with their expertise are part of these brand stories are.

At the TrueColors Conference in Munich, the focus is on shared understanding.

„As partners to both large and small brands, agencies and print shops have a responsible role to play. Consistent colours and efficient processes are just as much a part of this as an understanding of the interdisciplinary mission. In the end, it's always about teamwork.“

The agenda for the conference includes an exciting combination of visionary Keynotes and hands-on breakout sessions before. The content is always relevant to practice. However, the range of topics sometimes extends beyond our own horizons. For example, what does it mean for the packaging industry when the POS shifts to digital? Opportunity or challenge is not only the question here.
