Sick will be focussing on core topics of material flow handling such as driverless and man-guided transport systems and the associated services, intelligent pallet handling, sensor solutions for robotics and tracking & traceability.
A highlight among the exhibits is the smart 3D camera Visionary-B Two. With this camera, the company is expanding its portfolio of Image processing for rear area protection. It can be used for distance measurement, object detection, environment detection as well as route, side and rear area monitoring for AGVs, AMRs and mobile machines, both as a driver assistance system and for automation. As a robust 3D snapshot solution with up to 30 images per second, it is specially designed for outdoor use.
Sick has developed the Ident Gate System (IGS) to make companies' incoming and outgoing goods processes more efficient and profitable. With the help of various Sensors for object detection, goods identification and direction recognition and seamless IT integration, the reading portal can identify palletised goods labelled with barcodes or 2D codes as well as UHF RFID or hybrid tags. Additional 2D detection sensors also ensure reliable detection of the direction of movement. Goods are automatically identified during the journey, The data is checked for plausibility and completeness and immediately posted to the materials management system.
The Pallet Integrity Inspection System (PAIS) for non-contact quality control of unloaded and loaded pallets detects damage such as missing parts, cracks or protruding nails. During the visual inspection, the loading area and the pallet base, the four sides and the internal components are inspected. scanned with 3D cameras and examined for possible defects. The system analyses the scan results in real time and provides immediate feedback on the status of each pallet.
