Monica Gimre has been appointed as the new President and CEO of the Sidel Group by the Tetra Laval Group Board of Directors. Her predecessor stepped down from his position at his own request.
On 1 July 2019, the current „Executive Vice President“ at Tetra Pak her new position at Sidel record. It then triggers Sam Strömersténs who has been with Tetra Laval for 36 years and most recently served as President and CEO for more than three years.
New president comes from Tetra Pak
At Tetra Pak Monica Gimre currently responsible for processing solutions and equipment. The 58-year-old can look back on a wealth of experience in management positions at Tetra Pak. Among other things, she was Vice President for Marketing and Portfolio Management and Vice President for Technical Sales and Service in Tetra Pak's Processing business unit. She has been a member of the Tetra Pak Global Leadership Team since 2016.
Monica Gimre is 58 years old and has a master's degree in chemical engineering from Lund University in Sweden.
Responsible for 5,300 employees
At the Sidel Group, the new President will be responsible for a team of 5,300 employees. According to the Group, in 2017 it achieved a Turnover of 1.4 billion euros.
The Sidel Group sees itself as a leading provider of machines, complete solutions and services, Packaging design and services for the packaging of beverages, food, household and personal care products in PET, cans and glass.
