The new office and warehouse building in Dubai will enable the company to better serve the packaging industry in the Middle East.
Siegwerk, one of the world's leading suppliers of printing inks and coatings for packaging and labelling applications, has announced the opening of a new site in Dubai, further strengthening its presence in the Middle East. With the new location, which consists of an office building and a warehouse, Siegwerk will improve service proximity and logistics to ensure faster delivery times and better support for customers across the Middle East region, according to a statement. The expansion underlines Siegwerk's commitment to further expand its global presence in order to be closer to its customers and better fulfil the needs of the local market.
Enabling legally compliant and safe packaging production
Siegwerk has been developing UV and LED curing solutions for decades, resulting in a broad portfolio of state-of-the-art inks and coatings that are continuously optimised to meet changing market requirements, such as new raw materials and the increasing power of LED/UV lamps. With the SICURA Nutriflex LEDTec series, for example, Siegwerk offers a low-migration UV flexo ink suitable for primary food, pharmaceutical and hygiene packaging applications, while the SICURA Flex Dual Cure can be used for standard applications such as PSL or sleeves. Both series can be cured with both LED and UV arc lamps. Both colour technologies comply with the latest regulations, including the German Printing Ink Ordinance, and offer benefits such as lower energy consumption, reduced CO2 emissions and improved recyclability of the printed substrates. This underlines Siegwerk's commitment to pioneering the development of advanced inks and coatings that enable compliant and safe packaging production while promoting a sustainable and recyclable packaging industry.
„Our Dual Cure solutions are perfectly tailored to the needs of packaging printers in the Middle East, where sustainability and compliance with international and local regulations are becoming increasingly important. With our local experts and our new infrastructure, we are ideally positioned to support our customers in the transition to LED curing as the printing technology of the future.“
Stefan Rosenberg, Sales Manager of the Narrow Web Business Unit at Siegwerk
The expansion to Dubai is another strategic milestone in Siegwerk's global strategy to invest in key growth markets and promote sustainable innovation throughout the packaging value chain. The company continues to work closely with partners and customers around the world to jointly develop solutions that harmonise economic and ecological requirements, according to the statement.
