Siegwerk has presented its new Formula 2030 strategy, which aims to promote sustainable and profitable growth. The agenda focuses on competitiveness, sustainability, digitalisation and employees.
Economic fluctuations and new regulatory requirements characterise the global business environment of the packaging industry. Against this backdrop, Siegwerk has presented Formula 2030, a new strategic agenda for the next five years. The strategy aims to drive sustainable and profitable growth and strengthen the company's customer focus.
Four strategic focus areas
Formula 2030 comprises four central fields of action: Competitiveness, sustainability, digitalisation and employees. In terms of competitiveness, Siegwerk plans to strengthen its position in global markets by investing in efficiency improvements, automation and product innovations. The sustainability agenda HorizonNOW integrates responsible practices along the value chain and supports customers in fulfilling technical and regulatory requirements.
Digitalisation is seen as the key to increasing efficiency and customer proximity. Siegwerk is investing in the expansion of its digital infrastructure and the use of artificial intelligence to expand its data-based expertise. This enables more precise digital services and shortens development cycles. Siegwerk's employees are at the heart of the company and provide reliable advice and technical support worldwide. Their knowledge is being expanded in a targeted manner to support customers with more complex packaging requirements.
Global and regional implementation
While Formula 2030 sets the global strategic direction, its implementation takes into account the specific circumstances of the individual markets. Different customer requirements, competitive dynamics and technological conditions require a flexible approach. Siegwerk therefore combines a clear global course with customised regional initiatives to ensure flexibility and market proximity.
Another success factor is strong partnerships along the value chain. These promote joint innovations and the development of circular packaging solutions, which is crucial in increasingly complex markets. Siegwerk emphasises that close collaboration with partners strengthens competitiveness and drives sustainable solutions.
Outlook for the future
Siegwerk's CEO Dr Nicolas Wiedmann explains that Formula 2030 reflects the confidence in the company's future path. The strategy builds on a strong foundation and aims to fully realise Siegwerk's global potential. With a clear commitment to responsible behaviour and customer-centric innovation, Siegwerk aims to create long-term value in all markets in which it operates, according to the Siegburg-based company.
