Sigmatek presents its compact „S-DIAS“ control and safety system, which is particularly suitable for space-saving installation in the control cabinet. The modules are only 12.5 millimetres wide, 104 millimetres high and 72 millimetres deep and can be mounted on the top-hat rail, including the electronics and bus interfaces. One area of application is in intralogistics for driverless transport systems.

Particularly emphasises Sigmatek emphasises in its product information that the S-DIAS system wireless security applications can be implemented flexibly, space-savingly and cost-effectively. The Wireless safety-system therefore complies with the „SIL 3“, „PL e“ and „Cat. 4“ standards.

The safety data is transmitted - whether wired or wireless - according to the Black channel principle. Standard WLAN access points are used for wireless transmission. For several mobile units with safety functions such as driverless transport systems the central safety manager can also be realised with an S-DIAS safety system, writes Sigmatek.

Switch safety functions on and off dynamically

The product feature „Optional switch“It enables safety devices to be activated or deactivated in the safety application with password protection via the user interface. The registration of mobile units is also handled dynamically in the application.

Display

Security applications are implemented with the „LASAL SAFETYDesigner“ programme. The programme offers extensive libraries for typical functions. The safety function blocks are linked to the PLCopen standard and, just like the safe inputs and outputs, can be easily accessed and positioned using the mouse. The integrated debugger enables the graphical display of all values and clearly visualises the status and signal flow of the safety functions.
