For the launch of the L.12.12 Silver Grey and Silver Rose fragrances, Smurfit Westrock realised a paper-based packaging solution that picks up on the design and feel of the Lacoste style.
Smurfit Westrock has worked closely with Lacoste Fragrances to develop customised carton packaging for two new fragrances. Inspired by René Lacoste's legendary steel tennis racket, the shape was transferred to the outer carton. Multi-stage blind embossing and different lacquer finishes create a precise, tactile design that combines brand identity and a high-quality look and feel.
All design elements, including the well-known crocodile logo, were developed jointly by the design, printing and processing teams. The packaging is produced at the Obersulm site, which specialises in premium packaging. According to Smurfit Westrock, the solution is intended to support the positioning of Lacoste Fragrances in the upmarket fragrance segment and attract attention at retail.
