snakeprint: Printing service for flexible film packaging

The printing of flexible packaging films is snakeprint's speciality. Until now, the print shop at WAREG Verpackungs GmbH has worked exclusively for the Bensheim contract packager. Now it is also offering its printing service to other customers.

The printing company snakeprint has many years of experience in the Film printing for a wide range of packaging applications in the areas of personal hygiene, cleaning and disinfection.

„Our focus is on flexible film packaging. Here we print the entire range using flexographic printing. Up to now, we have only used films for WAREG-customers, including Aldi, Rossmann and many branded goods manufacturers. From now on, however, other customers can also utilise our printing service as a new service - such as large print shops that want to outsource smaller jobs or contract packers without their own printing facilities.“ Oliver Schöne, Print shop manager

In the future, too, the company intends to Orders with small to medium print runs as we can offer a particularly attractive price-performance ratio here.

The machine equipment includes two flexographic printing presses that can apply up to eight colours in one printing process and therefore also enable production combinations with special inks and functional coatings. This enables visual and haptic effects, but also special aspects of product and packaging protection. be taken into account.

Solvent-based printing inks that comply with the EUPIA or CEPE exclusion list are used. The use of special food-safe inks is also possible.

„We are not currently printing on food packaging, but we already have the necessary hygiene certifications. However, we want to expand our portfolio; and then food films will also be part of it.“ Oliver Schöne

snakeprint offers printing services from a single source

The customer has the choice of materials used: snakeprint prints on all standard mono, composite and barrier films for packaging. And has also integrated all pre-press services in-house. The print shop has a state-of-the-art in-house pre-press department, works with customers to develop the graphics and produces the print data once the design has been approved.

With current Professional software (GMG ColorProof and PackZ from Hybrid Software) colour proofs are created that simulate the print result and serve as a reference when setting up the printing presses. Oliver Schöne: „We also attach great importance to clear communication and convenient processing, which is why we provide our customers with a dedicated contact person who accompanies them from receipt of the order to delivery of the product.“

The print shop has ten employees at the WAREG site in Bensheim.
