Dr Christina Raab will take over as President and CEO on 15 October 2021 from Peter Templeton. Since 2019, Raab has been Vice President for Strategy and Development at the institute, where she plays a key role in shaping content, sharpening the external profile and forming strategic partnerships.
In her previous management positions, Raab was already committed to promoting responsible consumption and production practices worldwide. Now she wants to further establish the institute as a leading authority in the field of sustainability, the circular economy and the new economy and continue the organisation's growth trajectory. She will lead the institute from its base in Amsterdam/NL.
Raab earned her doctorate in materials chemistry at the Vienna University of Technology and completed her doctoral thesis at the University of California Santa Barbara.
Peter Templeton joins the company as interim president and CEO US Green Building Council (USGBC) and Green Business Certification Inc (GBCI). In his new position, he will remain associated with the institute, which was founded in 2010 as a non-profit organisation to establish the Cradle to Cradle approach in all industrial sectors.
