
SIG has commissioned a modern packaging materials plant for aspetic carton packs in Mexico. Production is focussed on the printing, cutting and finishing of carton packs.
After only 12 months of construction SIG a production plant for aseptic carton packs in Queretaro, Mexico. With a total investment of 73 million euros, the new plant will North American markets and further expand the global production network, in order to continue the strong growth in the region. A particular focus in production is placed on ergonomics and sustainability. More than 200 jobs have been created.

The new packaging materials plant in Queretaro, built on an area of around 20,751 square metres, starts with a Production of 500 million carton packs in the first year of production. Production is set to increase to 1.2 billion carton packs by 2024. Production at the new plant will initially focus on Concentrate on medium and large format carton packs. In a second phase, SIG plans to expand production at the plant to include small formats.
