This year, for the fourth time in a row, the Glass Packaging Action Forum is awarding the „Product Innovation in Glass” prize for special products packaged in glass. Food and beverage bottling companies can apply until 9 April 2017. Participation is free of charge.
With the „Product Innovation in Glass” award, the Glass Packaging Action Forum honours Exceptional and innovative products, that are new to the market and packaged in glass. Until 9 April 2017, food and beverage manufacturing and bottling companies can apply free of charge with products that were sold on the German market for the first time between 1 January 2016 and 31 March 2017.
Companies with up to 50 employees can apply in the category „Small businesses”, Companies with more than 50 employees in the category „Medium-sized and large companies”. An independent jury will nominate the three best participants in both categories from all the entries and then decide on the winners.
Award at the Glass Trend Day
The six nominees will be presented on 18 May in Hamburg at the Trend Day Glass 2017 - the industry event for decision-makers from marketing, retail and purchasing. There, the participants will also select the third winner - the „Favourite of the public“. The official Award ceremony with the announcement of the three winners and the presentation of the glass trophies will take place directly after the Glass trend day as part of a get-together at the „Au Quai” in Hamburg.
The jury is made up of the following experts:
Brigitte Bähr, freelance journalist for packaging journal,
Andrej Kupetz, Managing Director of the German Design Council,
Dr Ulrich Nehring, Managing Director of Institut Nehring GmbH, and Achim Nieroda, Technical Officer at the German Brewers' Association.
