Start-ups bring a breath of fresh air to the circular economy

Thirteen start-ups from the Reverse Logistics Accelerator organised by Circular Valley and Startport have developed solutions to make reverse logistics more sustainable and efficient.

The Reverse Logistics Accelerator from Circular Valley and Startport emphasises regional cooperation in the extended Rhine-Ruhr region. The participating start-ups spent three months working on solutions to make reverse logistics more sustainable and efficient.

After three months Workshops, pitch training and networking events is certain: the start-ups in the Reverse Logistics Accelerator are bringing a breath of fresh air to the circular economy. Thirteen start-ups successfully completed the Accelerator at the Demo Day at the Circular Valley Forum.

New impetus for return logistics

With BooxIT, Circular Logistics, Xpack Green Logistics, The Ocean Package and Palprint several teams are working on innovative packaging and reusable solutions. Sacred Valley Tech, Koorvi and Urbix Hub develop digital tools and platforms to make recycling processes more transparent and efficient. Sustainable energy and transport solutions bring Edeenenergy, Maxmove and Wempyre while Design directive and recarbished set new impulses with circular design and recycling approaches.

Networking and exchange at Duisport Connect

An important item on the programme was the Duisport Connect networking event At the beginning of October, the participating start-ups presented their business models to representatives from industry, science and politics.

The Reverse Logistics Accelerator was set up to support young companies in their endeavours to Recycling, reuse and reprocessing of products more efficient and sustainable, a decisive lever for the circular economy.
