Steriline announces the presentation of the RNFM22 robotic filling line at CPHI Frankfurt (28-30 October 2025). The company intends to demonstrate flexible, AI-supported processes for aseptic primary packaging.
According to the company, the RNFM22 shown at the trade fair is designed for the processing industry as well as for CDMOs. It processes nested vials (6R to 50R) and can be configured for pre-filled syringes and cartridges. The system combines peristaltic or volumetric pumps, integrates an in-process control system for weight control (statistical or 100 % on request) and utilises three Stäubli robots to avoid glass-to-glass contact. Other features include a tool-free format changeover on the stopper conveyor and an optional stopper position run-out control. The line output is estimated at up to 2,400 vials per hour (without IPC) and up to 3,500 1-ml PFS per hour.
Line with pre- and post-process modules
The trade fair configuration includes Automatic Debagger (ADB) and Automatic Delidder/Deliner (ADE) in front of the two-stage filling machine RNFM22. The Automatic Denester (ADN), a Positive Diverting System (PDS) for switching to the freeze dryer or capping machine and the VCM50 capping machine follow in the full configuration - not shown at the trade fair. For use in freeze-dried applications, the PDS is equipped with image processing for stopper control; according to the manufacturer, the VCM50 fulfils the requirements of Annex 1 of the EU GMP and checks the stopper position before sealing and the crimp quality at the end.
Deployment planned at Beximco Pharmaceuticals
The line presented at the trade fair is intended for Beximco Pharmaceuticals. According to the company, the generics manufacturer has international site accreditations and is driving expansion in industrialised and emerging markets. Beximco COO Rabbur Reza is quoted as saying that the new robotic filling line will play „a crucial role“ in meeting growing production demand at home and abroad and will support the highest standards of quality and sterility.
