Strautmann Umwelttechnik GmbH from Glandorf in Lower Saxony has developed the BaleTainer, a fully automatic baling press for paper, cardboard and PET bottles.
Whether manually, by conveyor belt, by forklift or by wall connection: large and bulky recyclables can be conveniently thrown in. In the compacting chamber, the recyclables are 600 kN pressing force to 450 kg bale which can be sold directly to recyclers or paper mills.
The compact design of the fully automatic machine enables the Internal installation directly at the sources of waste. Staff no longer have to walk long distances outside to dispose of waste.
One of its customers is the vehicle parts wholesaler Wessels + Müller AG from Osnabrück. The company delivers 45 million vehicle parts every year. In the past, cardboard boxes were distributed across several rented press containers. The New solution from Strautmann reduced six tonnes of cardboard a day by up to 90 per cent in the central warehouse.
„The decision in favour of the BaleTainer was primarily based on its cost-effectiveness. The investment was amortised in less than two years. The bale goods from the BaleTainer are in great demand on the paper market and bring us the highest revenues, expresses itself Manfred Stahl, from Wessels + Müller AG.
Behind the BaleTainer is in Special press conceptA bale is not produced in one piece, but in three or four „discs“. This achieves the result of a 180 tonne channel baling press in a compact design. Thanks to the compact design, the machine can be set up directly at the material collection point on the farm. This means that disposal is not dependent on the weather and the time and costs for long transport routes outside are reduced.
