The SPQ (Sustainable Print Quality) technology from SÜDPACK improves CO2-balance in packaging printing - and was also able to convince the expert jury of the renowned German Packaging Award 2021.
Lower consumption of ink and solvents, less production waste and lower energy consumption: SPQ (Sustainable Print Quality) technology improves the carbon footprint - and thus won one of four German Packaging Awards in the cost-effectiveness category.
As part of a joint project with GOLDSTEIG Käsereien Bayerwald GmbH, it is now possible to SÜDPACK has succeeded in reducing ink and solvent waste by more than 60 per cent by using SPQ technology when implementing multiple print images. The print quality has also been further optimised.
SÜDPACK's SPQ technology uses a fixed colour palette. In the pre-press stage - similar to offset or digital printing - all designs are mapped automatically and with process stability using a standardised colour palette. This also reduces set-up times - an aspect that has a particularly positive effect on frequently changing batches. At the same time, fewer colour changes also mean a reduction in colour consumption and waste. Last but not least, standardised colour management leads to a considerable increase in quality. The previously necessary print adjustments or print approvals on site become obsolete, and the amount of material required for proofs is minimised.
