The Heilbronn-based cutting-die manufacturer Marbach offers an extensive portfolio of carrier plates. The right carrier plate can be selected depending on the customer's requirements or the respective order.
The carrier plate forms the Basis of a punching tool. Firstly, the contours of the packaging are placed in these, then the knife and creaser are positioned and finally the appropriate rubber coating is applied.
Carrier plates for standard requirements
For standard requirements Marbach offers Multiplex carrier boards made from high-quality birch wood on. Due to its slow growth, birch wood is very firm and uniform. This makes it very suitable for laser cutting. And therefore very suitable as a base material for a cutting die.
The crosswise gluing gives the multiplex core board the stability it needs and ensures a high level of stability. Long service life.
If you also want to do something for the environment, you should consider the following when choosing your carrier plate for the Marbach greenplate decide. This is because 30 % of this carrier board is made of birch and 70 % from secondary material. It is also very laser-compatible.
The environmentally friendly secondary material comes from sustainable forestry. Due to its design, the greenplate is only subject to minimal height tolerances.
This makes it ideal for use with embossing and Braille. Thanks to its flatness and good technical properties, it ensures optimum printing conditions during the die-cutting process.
„Our carrier plates are as individual as our customers“ needs. Depending on the order, layout, print run and requirements, we work with our customers to select the right carrier plate for optimum die-cutting results and maximum performance in the production of packaging. This gives our customers the certainty that they are using the perfect tool for their requirements. With the best possible results."

Dimensionally stable carrier plates
For higher demands on durability and accuracy during punching, so-called dimensionally stable carrier plates are used. The material selection and structure of these are designed in such a way that they can be used even with hygroscopic influences and strong climatic fluctuations dimensionally stable remain.
The Marbach solidplate is the entry-level model in the class of dimensionally stable carrier plates. The basis for the solidplate is formed by two steel sheets, which are applied to the proven Marbach greenplate core.
Thanks to the steel surface, this design enables quick and easy rubber replacement. Multiple blade changes are possible for long runs.
The carrier plate made of duramar is the flagship in the class of dimensionally stable carrier plates. Glass fibre-reinforced plastic is combined with sheet steel.
Depending on the combination of these elements, there are different versions of the duramar support panel: eco, plus or performance. These carrier boards are also non-hygroscopic.
They are characterised by their high dimensional stability and extremely long service life. They can be remeasured frequently and have an extremely accurate fit, even with large machine formats.
For very special requirements, the Aluminium support plate. This is not only stable, but also has high thermal conductivity. This makes it ideally suited as a heatable carrier plate. For punching and creasing plastic. But also for the highest hygiene requirements.
