Under the motto „Safe, clean, sustainable“, Jowat is presenting new hot melt adhesives for carton sealing at Fachpack 2025 in Nuremberg. The aim is to fulfil ecological and economic requirements in equal measure - especially in the food and frozen food industries.

With Jowatherm PO 851.99, the company is addressing the increasing demand for energy-efficient processes. The adhesive requires a low melting temperature and is therefore suitable for temperature-sensitive products such as chocolate. According to Jowat, up to 45 % of energy can be saved compared to conventional systems. Jowatherm PO 851.10 was developed for the deep-freeze sector. It is characterised by high cold resistance, clean thread breakage and reliable adhesion to difficult surfaces. The aim is to reduce machine contamination and ensure stable seals for pizza, ready meals and ice cream.

Jowat also offers solutions for high temperatures: Jowatherm PO 851.20 is designed for fast packaging processes in hot environments. For those who value sustainable raw materials, Jowatherm GROW 853.22 is a bio-based alternative that is obtained from by-products of paper production and does not compete with food production, according to the Detmold-based company.

In addition to products, Jowat emphasises its role as a partner for the entire packaging process. The company's own laboratories in Germany, Malaysia and the USA test adhesives under real-life conditions from -20 °C to +90 °C. Research focuses on energy efficiency and optimised thread breakage behaviour in order to reduce downtimes.
