Karl Finke GmbH & Co. KG will be presenting sustainable colouring solutions for plastics with a high recycled content at Fakuma 2024. The focus is on innovative masterbatches, liquid colours and additive solutions that enable both colour diversity and design-for-recycling requirements.

Karl Finke GmbH & Co. KG presents at the Fakuma 2024 will present its latest developments for Sustainable colouring of plastics. The company relies on innovative processes to offer attractive colours and effects even for products with a high recycled content. A variety of colours, metallic looks and glitter effects can be achieved with the Fibaplast and Fibafekt product range. A special process encapsulates the recyclate core of the plastics with a thin layer of virgin material, which creates a colourful effect. Great design freedom made possible.

Another focus is on the Fibarec series, which Masterbatches based on 100 per cent recycled material offers. These solutions can be processed in the same way as conventional masterbatches and are therefore suitable as Drop-in solution for many thermoplastics. Liquid colours are also gaining in importance as they can be used independently of the substrate material. Fibasol liquid colours offer a wide range of colour shades, are resistant to high temperatures and are lightfast.

In order to fulfil the requirements of design-for-recycling, Finke is introducing new products that Facilitate recycling processes. These include Fibaplast NIR detectable Black Masterbatches, which enable improved sorting of packaging waste in NIR systems as they do not contain carbon black pigments. In addition, a colourless additive batch series with special functions, Fibatec, will be presented, which offers UV protection for plastics, among other things.
