Together with SN Maschinenbau Südpack presents an aluminium-free solution at Interzoo in Nuremberg for the Packaging of wet food products that undergo heat treatment after the packaging process. The film pouches are produced on an SN form-fill-seal machine FME 50.
Südpack has further expanded its portfolio of sustainable film solutions and will be presenting a film solution for the efficient and safe packaging of wet pet food in stand-up pouches at the world's leading trade fair for pet supplies. Despite the absence of an aluminium barrier layer, the material guarantees an optimum barrier. The film structure can also be sterilised. Optimum UV and light protection is ensured by the high opacity of the material.
Another advantage is the particularly good machinability of the material, which is based in particular on the wide sealing window. This in turn results in a high level of process and packaging reliability. Last but not least, the film can also be used with the South pack newly developed SPQ printing technology, which was honoured with the German Packaging Award in Gold in 2021.
Flexible HFFS pouch packaging machine
The sustainable film concept will be presented in Nuremberg on the horizontal SN pouch packaging machine FME 50. The machine model from SN Mechanical engineering is an inexpensive, flexible and compact Pouch packaging machine for producing, filling and closing 3-/4-side sealed pouches, stand-up pouches and gusseted pouches. The bags are filled and sealed with products of various consistencies using appropriately designed dosing devices. The aluminium-fine composite can be easily processed as a stand-up pouch with an output of up to 70 cycles per minute without any loss of speed or quality.
The energy-efficient FME 50 impresses with its proven SN technology and enables a quick and easy entry into the world of flexible pouch packaging. It is Designed as a simple, economical „plug & play“ machine and easy to operate. The central bag gripper adjustment on the rotary table and the optimised height adjustment of the folding wedge help to reduce format changeover times and make the machine much easier to operate.
„With the FME 50, we are able to combine customer requirements such as a very short delivery time, ease of use and a high level of quality with low acquisition costs, which is also clearly reflected in the popularity of this model. As an entry-level machine and technologically highly standardised, the FME 50 demonstrates that many alternative materials can be easily processed with any SN pouch packaging machine.“
Felix Eberhardi, Marketing Manager at SN Maschinenbau.
