SwissQprint expands with new building in the USA

The Swiss manufacturer of large format printers, SwissQprint, is building a new facility in Illinois, paving the way for future growth in North America.

The Swiss manufacturer of large format printers, SwissQprint, is building in Illinois. The new building is intended to pave the way for future growth in North America and offer better opportunities for customer service and product presentation.

The new building is being constructed on a 12,140 m² site in West Dundee, Illinois. The centrepiece of the new building will be a Showroom for the large format printers of the company and its applications. There is also more space for application and service teams, explains Erik Norman, Managing Director of SwissQprint America.

The company is Represented in the USA since 2016 and currently provides sales and service from Elgin, Illinois. A second SwissQprint America showroom is located in Irvine, California.

Project with sustainability endeavours

The new building will have a usable area of 2300 m² for Showroom, training facilities and a workroom for technical work such as machine overhauls. In addition, the warehouse capacity and office space will be considerably larger than at the current site in Elgin. Overall, the US team can look forward to 130 per cent more space.

In line with SwissQprint's sustainability policy, the installation of around 400 solar panels is planned, which will supply electricity from renewable resources. The ground-breaking ceremony took place on 9 July 2025, The new building should be ready for occupancy by mid-2026. The property offers a land reserve of 1394 m² for future growth. While SwissQprint will give up the Elgin site, the showroom in California will remain, to serve interested parties on the US West Coast and from Western Canada.
