Syntegon is expanding the Wrap Around Elematic 3001 case packer with the „Syntegon Operator Assistance“ function for assisted format changeovers. To mark the 60th anniversary of the case packer technology at the Remshalden site, the packaging experts are expanding the tried-and-tested click system and further optimising format changeover processes.
The new function helps companies in a wide range of industries to increase the level of automation in their packaging processes and make format changeovers more user-friendly and efficient. Depending on the version, the format change is guided, verified or semi-automatic.

At the Guided Size Changeover displays the Human Machine Interface (HMI) and the message-in-place displays to the machine operators step by step, which format parts you need to change and which settings you need to make. LEDs integrated into the displays provide additional guidance as to where the task should be carried out. If users decide in favour of Verified Size Changeover, you can change every setting and every format part automatically by means of RFID technology. This eliminates production interruptions and downtime due to incorrect format parts. In combination with guided format changes, companies achieve efficient processes in which every step is automatically confirmed.
Semi-automatic format changeover for maximum efficiency
In the version Semi-Automatic Size Changeover Syntegon Operator Assistance ensures particularly efficient format changeovers with the help of intelligent drives at the format points. The desired format is selected at the touch of a button on the HMI and the machine automatically moves to the positions in a set sequence.

Service agreements: support at a fixed price
As for all machines, Syntegon also offers service agreements for the Elematic 3001. The service agreements form the basis for a Effective system and maintenance management at fixed prices. Seven different levels enable customers in the pharmaceutical and food industries to minimise production risks, make service costs more transparent and simplify complex processes - so that they can concentrate on their core business. The scope of services covered increases with each level, from basic service, including inspection and remote service, through to guaranteed production output of the machines. From level 4, customers can relax about the total costs for the service life of their systems. In addition to preventive maintenance and operator training, the services at this level include all spare parts at a fixed cost.
