SIG plans to launch tethered caps for carton packs in Europe in the second half of 2021, which remain firmly attached to the packaging even after opening.
The new closures do not compromise on convenience and are compatible with SIG's existing filling machines and closure applicators. Customers who opt for the company's signature solutions will benefit from a further environmental advantage with the tethered caps, as the polymers from which the tethered closures are made, are 100 per cent connected to renewable, wood-based materials.

Meeting consumer demand and legal requirements
