With the MCH, Theegarten-Pactec is presenting a continuously operating twin-head machine at this year's ProSweets that is characterised by flexibility and high performance.

These two properties are of particular benefit to manufacturers who seasonal products such as chocolate eggs for Easter or chocolate balls for Christmas. Thanks to the modular design of the MCH, producers can quickly and easily switch between different formats and wrapping types. The machine is also characterised by a Gentle product separation via the disc and the packaging material feed in the removal head.

Flexibility scores

A range of seasonal confectionery requires flexible and fast-working machines. On the one hand, the products can change in Format and Type of impact and large quantities need to be produced in a short space of time. An MCH packaging machine from Theegarten-Pactec fulfils all these requirements and eliminates the need to invest in several different machines. The Dresden-based packaging specialist will be showing two exhibits to demonstrate two folding types and thus the flexibility of the machine to trade fair visitors.

The first MCH packaged Chocolate balls of 20 millimetres in diameter in double twist wrapping, the second machine produces the identical balls in full film wrapping. The output is 1,200 products per minute. In on-site operation at the confectionery manufacturer, the changeover between the different folding types and/or product formats takes between two and six hours. The final resulting time depends heavily on the folding types that are changed and whether the product format is changed at the same time. Theegarten-Pactec's innovation driver therefore offers short downtimes combined with high flexibility.

One machine, many possibilities

The modular design of this machine offers manufacturers even more variants, than can be shown at a trade fair. MCH not only packs chocolate, but also jelly, filled or unfilled hard confectionery, eclairs and coated confectionery gently and safely. In addition to full film wrapping (tin foil wrapping) and double twist wrapping, sealed double twist wrapping (protected twist) and side twist are also possible.

The range of Packaging materials is just as diverse: wax paper, cellophane, plastic or aluminium foil give every product the desired appearance and can also be combined with each other thanks to the optional double packaging material feed. The result: a particularly elegant wrap consisting of inner and outer wrapping.
